I Found Out which Video Length makes it SPREAD faster

This video is a great break down of ideal peak time zones. Not EST, or CST, but rather the length of content that correlates with your niche of content. If you produce video essays there is a different ideal than if you produce self-help videos. There is some discussion on shorts here, but it is limited.

Thumbnail Breakdown

ToonOfficialYT is a channel that does video essays on character development, that has really been taking off this year. This is a case study in just how much length of video matters. 15k views, though potentially substantial to some of our readers, is sub-par for this channels recent average. Though nothing jumps out as immediately worse. Good thumbnail, short title. Potentially ‘good’ is too weak of a word - but my suspicion is that ‘How to Write’ is too deep of a subject for that 13:45 time

Is the subject matter better? Maybe. Is Wreck it Ralph a much more popular choice than treasure planet? Arguable. Maybe “Twist” is a more powerful word than “good.” All of these could be contributing factors for this video’s success. HOWEVER, one thing that glares of me, and is more instantly recognizable is that time. 25:43 makes sense. In the first video Nate Black talks about how to videos, and this falls within the peak range. Thinking about your content - what’s your peak?

Amy Shafer IS a genius. Both in the literal sense, and the abstract. She’s an accomplished musician, and has truly found what it means to find your X-Factor and make it into bingeable YouTube Content

Here’s the thing about Amy’s videos - they’re not crazy. There’s no fast edits, there’s no clever cuts. It’s just her listening to music and giving her opinion on it. It’s the reaction channel that you didn’t know you needed. It goes to show the kind of views you can garnish, and the community you can forge when you are an expert in your field.

Key Takeaway:
Though many in the way of trying to launch video platforms have failed, maybe this one will succeed. The important thing to notice is how much more common video is becoming. YouTube is obviously huge, but it’s well worth the time investment to try and find other places to potentially push your content - if you can be first, who knows what the impact it might have.
