What to Watch:

Creator - Tatsuki

My favorite YouTube advice will always come from creators who are actually doing it. Not creators that are YouTube advice people. But people ACTUALLY making content for YouTube. Tatsuki is a vlogger and artist first - and offers advice second. Whether you’re a YouTube veteran or a complete novice, there’s something in this video for you - and it’s never bad to get a refresher on what works.

Packaging Breakdown

Simple text - and great lighting in a picture… isn’t that all you need to create a good thumbnail?
Not necessarily.
This time its not that the words aren’t bold enough, it’s that they aren’t clear enough. There are other videos that talk about this same thing but with close-ups of what a wide toe box actually looks like. All in all, this thumbnail/title concept is trying to accomplish too much. It’s a comparison, and a feature review, and an interesting new concept, and… the list goes on longer than the title

Same font - same guy, more shoes. What else is different? I want to try and convince you that it’s ALL about the idea. Here it’s simple. Everyone walks.
Everyone > Wide toe enthusiasts.
Now I know, I know, you need to niche down, but that’s accomplished by a few different means. 2025 is selective, brands of shoes are selective, by a foot specialist. All of those break down the niche. Broad appeal, narrow focus. If you can nail that concept, who knows what kind of reach you’ll have.

If you have questions about the concepts above, just reply with em’ I’d love to connect!

Creator’s we love

Oliver Robert Lucas:
Normally, I try to find creators who are new, and who have figured it out fast. I wanted to give some hope though to people who have been trying for years. Oliver’s been seriously creating for over three years now, and has found his stride. Let’s see what’s working for him

Key Takeaways

No Text: Many people still think that you need text in the thumbnail to convey a message. But that’s simply not true. It’s the age old principle of showing versus telling. Through his photography Oliver is able to convey an emotion.

Simple Titles: He doesn’t hit you over the head with all of the science. A few words, minimal punctuation, and often a number of things that the video will be about.

Brand?: Few will notice it, but he IS building his brand. Style of photography, length of title, even the brightness setting on each picture. His face is the brand. His style is the brand. Please stop limiting yourself to think that a brand MUST be a logo, or a border color.

Creator News

Takeaways:
1.) More and more, Hollywood is going to NEED to be interested in what’s happening on YouTube and other streaming platforms

2.) We are in an attention economy. This means that money does AND will go to whoever has the most attention. This means that YouTube if it continues to grow, will demand more attention, and therefore will become more competitive.

3.) There is space for you. With the rise of hyper-produced content, there will be a necessity for more authentic pieces of content. Maybe that’s where you fit in
