Building AI Videos - 1of10Podcast

AI is here and it isn’t going anywhere. Learn how to leverage it, or you’ll get left behind.
In this video the creative team behind 1of10 shows how someone could make an entire video in as little as 30 minutes. An entire video. Everything. AI.
And the scary part is it’s good.
Let’s look at some examples of good and bad use cases.

Thumbnail Breakdown

With AI one of the important things to remember is that you still have to appeal to your core audience. You still have to have a value proposition. Part of the failure of this packaging, is that it’s only 3:35 - compared to a channel average of 20:00. The second thing is that there is too much of a knowledge gap here. What does a man entering into a portal have to do with my story? Is there any other way this could have been portrayed?

I would call 53x a pretty big difference. Let’s look at it. AI created image, but what’s different? The value proposition. It’s 15 entire minutes on metals. Compare that to 3 minutes for a very abstract concept. The thumbnail also tells me EXACTLY what I’m going to be clicking into.
The idea here is incredible though. A lot of businesses make the mistake of being too broad. No. Tell me about the metals. That’s what gets views.

If you have questions about the concepts above, just reply to this email, I’d love to connect!

Mystik Manor:
A completely AI structured channel. AI script, AI thumbnails, AI Titles (probably), AI video/animations.
So what does the creator behind this channel do to make it so dang successful? Well let’s take a look.

Key Takeaways

Trends: It’s no secret as to why a video about the Wizard of Oz did so well as Wicked hit theaters. Or why a Christmas video did so well in the advent season. Or why Witches and Dark History trended near October 31st. This creator understands creating good content around the subjects that people are already searching for.
Consistency: Here’s the thing though, if the creator made terrible content, then no one would ever return, people wouldn’t return, but that’s not what the comments sections look like at all. It’s people offering their own theories and building a community.
Quality AI: I know you’ve seen terrible AI. A thousand fingers on one hand, eyes drooping all over the place. But those images in the thumbnail are quality. Clearly AI, but quality. That’s the thing though. People don’t care anymore that it’s AI so long as it looks good.

This is why you need to use it. To get good at it. To become great at it, that way you leave your competition in the dust.

CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK

The challenge this week is simple. Use one AI tool in your content creation this week. Learn the tool a little bit, but use it.

Here are some free ones.
ChatGPT: - Scripting, Titles, Ideation.
Google Gemini - Images (like the one in this newsletter), Thumbnails
VidIQ - (The free version) 3 titles generated weekly, 3 ideas daily

Paid ones (not sponsored) - all amounts in USD, all are for basic version, each has an upgradeable version depending on output.

OpusClip: 9.00/month - Simple edits, ( I haven’t used it, I’ve heard good things)
Suno: 10.00/month - Music (and it’ll be copyright free as a bonus)
Midjourney: 10.00/month - Image generation, they’re rolling out animation soon, but it doesn’t look as good yet as:
Runway: 12.00/month - Animations, pretty smooth, but it’s also pretty limited dependent on use case.
Elevenlabs: 5.00/month - Voiceover, with custom voices.

As someone who hates subscriptions, I can tell you that depending on your needs, one or two of these might be worth it, but I would try to get as much from the free versions as possible. A lot of options exist with a Google search containing the word “free.” But if you’ve got the disposable income, then usually with these things you get what you pay for.
