Authenticity AND Quality

Your weekly YouTube education in five minutes

What to Watch:

TLDR: - A video about a gamer that switched to fitness, and now makes 100k+ a year - why focusing in on one thing in the thumbnail is worth it - and a creator that KILLS it at the basics - see you on the other side

If you didn’t catch this one - I know it’s a bit longer, but the journey of Will Tennyson is not only inspiring, it’s intensely educational.
One of the videos he drops as to the keys of his channel is given as “Best vs Worst Gym in Miami” if you want a good example of what kind of content works on YouTube give it a watch - you won’t regret it.

Packaging Breakdown

Don’t Do this:

It’s not a bad picture - but it’s not a great thumbnail. The problem is that my eye is drawn all over the place, should I be focused on the bench, the wood, the grass? There’s nothing to guide my attention. So then I need to read the thumbnail.
Restoring an old cast iron legged garden bench! ← just adding an exclamation point doesn’t make it interesting. Let’s see a little different angle

It’s a chair…so why did it do differently? Well. Look at it. It’s only a chair. The video is about a chair - what about a chair? Then I read the title. Ohhh he’s doing something for the first time ever? That is interesting.
When making thumbnails and titles, it can be powerful just focusing on ONE thing. Don’t get too complicated with it.

If you have questions about the concepts above, just reply with em’ I’d love to connect!

Boom.

Key Takeaways

Simple: some words, a black screen, small clip art.
Good: Each video is packed with quality, and it’s evident in editing style - storytelling, pretty much everything
Done: This is what I’m talking about when I say double down on what works. Look at them. LOOK AT THEM! Four videos, and he’s in monetization for sure.
Don’t let complicated thumbnails be what stops you from exploding in growth

Takeaways:
1.) You don’t have to launch a soap brand, but it might be worth your time to develop an offer
2.) More and more we are seeing creators/influencers take off in the area of product marketing and selling - which most creators will affirm is where the real money is at
3.) In blatant honestly - most of our clients don’t make the most amount of money with adSense, they make it with selling their offer

So what’s yours? It’s time to start thinking about it

Would you do me a favor? If you got value out of this letter would you just forward it to someone who you think would get value from it as well? Thanks so much!
